The tiny toilets miracle

Yasin Shaikh runs a small tailoring shop in Balajinagar, a slum area near the Maharashtra Industrial Development Complex in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune’s satellite city. Like many structures in the area, his residence is his workplace, and it has grown and morphed over time. His family used to live in a small room at the back; now it has shifted up to a new room on the first floor and rented it out.

पिंपरी – महापालिकेने जेएनएनयुआरएम निधीतून घनकचरा व्यवस्थापनांतर्गत रस्ते सफाईसाठी 4 मोठे आणि 4 छोटे अत्याधुनिक रोडस्विपर्स 7 कोटी 40 लाख 73 लाख 752 रुपयास खरेदी करण्यात आले. परंतु, रोडस्विपर्स मशीन कोणती घ्यायची, ती मशीन भारतातून घ्यावयाची की परदेशी बनावटीचे खरेदी करायचीही यांचा अभ्यास केला नसून दोन ठेकेदार राहिल्याने निविदेला मुदतवाढ न देता, एका ठेकेदाराला डोळ्यासमोर ठेवून मशीन खरेदी करण्यात आली. त्यामुळे रोडस्विपर्स मशीन खरेदीत अनियमितता आढळून आली आहे.
