Industries in Pimpri-Chinchwad worried as local body tax to replace current octroi PIMPRI-CHINCHWAD: The decision to replace octroi with local body tax (LBT) in the state has not gone down well with business fraternity in the Pimpri-Chinchwad region. Local industry players dub it as giving with one hand and taking with the other and have called upon the state government to reconsider The LBT is currently being implemented in Amravati, Akola, Ahmednagar, Ulhasnagar, Kalyan-Dombivli, Chandrapur, Parbhani, Latur and Nashik municipal areas. From April 2013, they aim to introduce the same in Pune, Nagpur, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Mumbai city corporations.
