PCMC loses bank guarantee of Rs 10 L for violating pollution act: PIMPRI: In a second quick successive action against the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has seized a bank guarantee of Rs 10 lakh of the civic body, holding it responsible for violation of environmental control rules in its Basic Services for the Urban Poor (BSUP) scheme under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).
