PCMC collects Rs 51 crore as LBT in first month: Municipal commissioner claims it is a state record. Notwithstanding strong opposition to local body tax (LBT) by traders and businessmen and their 12-day strike, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) was able to collect Rs51 crore as LBT in the first month after the tax came into force.

Municipal commissioner Shrikar Pardeshi claimed the PCMC is the only civic body that has collected the highest revenue in the first month. He said, “We are happy that PCMC broke the record of other municipal corporations by collecting Rs51 crore as LBT in the first month itself. The Pune Municipal Corporation has collected Rs 40 crore.”
