The standing committee of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has approved a proposal to reduce the width of a footpath and widen part of the service road along Pune-Mumbai highway. The work will be carried out on the 12km stretch along the Nigdi-Dapodi BRTS corridor at a cost of Rs 3.47 crore, committee chairman Shantaram Bhalekar said.
