Pune’s hopes dashed, no new train in Prabhu’s budget speech

The railway budget presented by Suresh Prabhu evoked a mixed reaction from Puneites. Appreciation of efforts that focused on reforms and improvement of services and infrastructure was somewhat offset by displeasure over non-announcement of new train services in his budget speech and a change in reservation schedule, from 60 days prior to the journey, to 120 days.
