Smart city upset: Their bastion left out, Pawars knock Delhi doors

Upset over their bastion of Pimpri-Chinchwad, considered as Maharashtra’s fastest developing city, being pushed out of the central government’s smart city plan, top NCP leaders, including Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar, led a delegation to Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi on Wednesday and apparently managed to extract a promise that “justice would be done to the industrial city.”
