The residential zone of Nigdi Pradhikaran under Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has had a problematic open gutter over a water hose in their area plugged, providing relief for thousands of commuters and pedestrians. The issue had been reported by Pune Mirror on February 12, 2018, highlighting the hazard located near the fire brigade office at Kashgar Chowk, which was endangering several lives on a daily basis. According to area residents, PCMC was turning a blind eye to the uncovered manhole, and they wished for it to be shut immediately before a tragedy took place.
