Over 3,000 citizens in the 32-building complex of Roseland Residency in Pimple Saudagar have set a precedent by the exemplary implementation of rainwater harvesting.
Thanks to this practice, the society hasn't had to call a single water tanker since 2009. The residents of the 1,000 odd flats in the society have been harvesting rainwater diligently since then for groundwater augmentation. On May 13, Santosh Maskar, chairman of the society , will present a case study of their victory over water scarcity at an awareness programme -`Everything abo ut Rainwater Harvesting' -organized by the Pimpri Chinchwad Citizen Forum (PCCF) in association with the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.
