PMPML to roll out women's special buses on 2 routes

PMPML to roll out women's special buses on 2 routes: Women commuters can look forward to travelling in special buses which the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is planning to introduce on two routes during peak hours from October 2.

This is PMPML's third attempt to start such a service in the last few years. One of the two routes will be between Nigdi and Swargate and the other route is yet to be finalised. The buses are likely to ply only during peak hours. Pimpri-Chinchwad mayor Mohini Lande said the proposal for starting the women's special buses was discussed at a meeting of the board of directors earlier this month.
