Wakad gets 902 new bldgs, makes PCMC richer by Rs 265 crore Rapid development of Wakad has come as a boon for Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) at a time when the civic body is uncertain about its cash flow after the abolition of octroi and traders opposing the local body tax (LBT). PCMC has granted 902 building permissions in the area in a year (2012-13) generating revenue of Rs265 crore.
