Pimpri Chinchwad township, which is part of the Pune urban agglomeration, is in Maval. While Pimpri Chinchwad largely has urban voters, Vadgaon, Talegaon, Lonavla and the hinterlands, largely agrarian have rural voters including a huge chunk of farmers.
