Pimpri Chinchwad: The standing committee of PCMC for the first time in several decades approved the draft budget hours later after it was presented on Thursday.
The PCMC’s draft budget for 2018-19, which focused on Metro rail, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Smart City, Amrut scheme and Swachh Bharat Mission, was presented by municipal commissioner Shravan Hardikar before standing committee chairperson Seema Savale on Thursday. The budget had a total outlay of Rs 5,235 crore, including Central and state government funds. The standing committee, however, added Rs 27 crore to it for various welfare schemes, taking the total figure to Rs 5,262 crore.
