Unlike Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) which has been constantly facing intense fire over garbage disposal from villagers of Urali Devachi and Phursungi, the protests faced by Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) from residents living near its Moshi garbage depot are largely infrequent and mostly subdued. As a way out, the PCMC had planned another garbage depot in Punawale besides implementing a buffer zone plan around the depot, which the civic body believes would help tone down protests.
