State to notify locals about foodgrains supply via SMS

In a bit to end hardships of the beneficiaries of the Food Security Act, the state government, in a first of its kind initiative, will soon send automated messages informing them about the availability of foodgrains at fair price shops (FPS). The district supply office (DSO) will be the apex body at the district level to monitor the system, But the non-availability of funds could prove to be a hurdle for the smooth functioning of the plan.
