EARLIER this month, a yoga teacher, who was cycling from Gurav Pimple to Durga Tekdi, fell unconscious after her cycle hit a drainage chamber at Morwadi Chowk. She was rushed to the hospital by two passersby, said a member of her family. Her treatment cost about Rs 23,000, the family member added. The drainage chamber was placed in such a way that it did not align with the surface of the road, making the stretch susceptible to accidents. The woman said she did not realise that a drainage chamber would suddenly pop up on a smooth road, a view seconded by many residents.

पिंपरी – दापोडीतील महात्मा फुले नगरमधील प्रस्तावित रस्ता रुंदीकरणातील बाधितांना महापालिकेच्या वतीने नोटीस बजावण्यात आल्या आहेत. मात्र, या विकास आराखड्याला राज्य सरकारची मान्यता नसल्याने या नोटीसा बेकायदेशीर असून, मुळ मालकांना या प्रक्रियेत सामावून न घेतल्याची तक्रार दापोडीकरांनी केली आहे.

पिंपरी – पिंपरी-चिंचवड महापालिकेच्या एकूण तलावांपैकी निगडीतील यमुनानगर येथील मिनाताई ठाकरे जलतरण तलावाची सर्वाधिक दूरवस्था झाली आहे. या तलावातील फरश्‍या फुटल्या असून बाजुचे कड्डपे तुटले आहेत. जलतरण तलावाची स्वच्छता न केल्याने तळात शेवाळ साचले आहे. तसेच तलाव परिसरात व कार्यालयातील विद्युत व्यवस्थेचीही बोंब झाली आहे. तलावातील स्टीलच्या शिड्या तुटल्या असून स्वच्छतागृहातील शॉवरचीही तोडफोड करण्यात आली आहे.
