Clearing hurdles in the way of the proposed Metro rail project in the city, the union government has given its consent to the suggestion of a committee to keep Metro rail elevated and realignment of the route alongside the Mutha river instead of the proposed Jangli Maharaj Road, Guardian Minister Girish Bapat said Wednesday.
