A suburb steps forward: This year, Pimple Saudagar set to go plastic-free

As many as 600 shops in Pimple Saudagar area in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will shun the use of plastic bags and switch to bags made of cloth. At the turn of calendar year to 2018, Pimple Saudagar in the twin town will arguably become the first suburban area to attempt go plastic-free. The mission is collectively being spearheaded by the residents and shopkeepers in this area with the help of corporator Vitthal Kate, whose team has been working on this idea since 2015.

पिंपरी (Pclive7.com):- राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे शहराध्यक्ष संजोग वाघेरे यांचे कलावंतीणीवर असलेले प्रेम सर्वश्रुत आहे. त्यामुळे पवनाथडी जत्रेवर होणाऱ्या खर्चात कपात केल्याने वाघेरेंच्या भावना दुखावणे साहजिक आहे. मी विरोधी पक्षाचा आमदार असतानाही माझे ऐकून पवनाथडी जत्रेवर खर्च केला जात होता, असे म्हणणाऱ्या वाघेरे यांची कीव करावीशी वाटते. सत्ता असताना राष्ट्रवादीने समाविष्ट गावांच्या विकासाकडे नेहमीच दुर्लक्ष केले. आता भाजपने या गावांमध्ये विकासाची गंगा पोचविण्याचा निर्णय घेतल्यानंतर वाघेरे यांना पोटशूळ उठले आहे. समाविष्ट गावांतील विकासासाठी ४२५ कोटींच्या खर्चाला मंजुरी देताना गडबड झाली असेल, तर वाघेरे यांनी त्याचे पुरावे द्यावेत. भाजप दोषींना अजिबात पाठीशी घालणार नाही. आपली दुकानदारी कायमची बंद झाली म्हणून वाघेरे यांनी उगाच बोंबाबोंब करू नये, अशा शब्दांत भाजप शहराध्यक्ष व आमदार लक्ष्मण जगताप यांनी वाघेरे यांचा समाचार घेतला आहे.

सभापतींचाच सभेवर बहिष्काराचा इशारा

पिंपरी – महापालिकेच्या नागरवस्ती विकास योजना विभागाचे सहायक आयुक्त डॉ. प्रवीण अष्टीकर यांच्याकडे या विभागाबरोबरच भांडार, सुरक्षा आणि अतिरिक्त आयुक्‍त पदाचा अतिरिक्त पदभार आहे. त्यामुळे महिला व बालकल्याण विकास विभागाचे कामकाज वेळेत होत नसल्यामुळे लाभार्थ्यांना त्रास सहन करावा लागत आहे. या विभागासाठी स्वतंत्र सहायक आयुक्ताची नेमणूक करावी अन्यथा महिला व बालकल्याण समितीच्या पुढील सभेवर बहिष्कार टाकण्याचा इशारा सभापती सुनीता तापकीर यांनी दिला आहे.

पालिका सुरक्षा रक्षकाकडून जीवे मारण्याची धमकी

पिंपरी – सुरक्षा विभागातील भ्रष्टाचाराची प्रकरणे बाहेर काढणाऱ्या सामाजिक कार्यकर्त्याला महापालिकेच्या सुरक्षा रक्षकाने शिवीगाळ करत जीवे मारण्याची धमकी दिली. ही घटना शुक्रवारी (दि. 29) सायंकाळी सव्वा पाच वाजता महापालिका मुख्यालयाच्या प्रवेशद्वाराजवळ घडली.
