बोपोडीतील नव्या उड्डाणपुलाचे काम मार्गी

बोपोडी येथील हॅरिस पुलाशेजारी बांधण्यात येत असलेल्या नवीन उड्डाणपुलाचे रखडलेले काम पुढील मार्गी लागणार आहे. हा पूल उभारताना अडचणीच्या ठरलेल्या झोपडपट्यांचे पुनर्वसन या भागातील नागरिकांच्या इच्छेनुसार औंध आणि बोपोडीमध्ये करण्यात येईल, असा निर्णय मंगळवारी पालिका आयुक्त सौरभ राव यांच्याबरोबर झालेल्या बैठकीत घेण्यात आला.

Bopodi slum rehab issue settled

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has finally found a solution to the Gandhinagar- Bopodi slum rehabilitation dispute. Following a revised survey the authorities have decided that most of the slum dwellers can be accommodated in the SRA schemes in Bopodi itself and do not have to move to Aundh. Slum dwellers and corporators from the area have welcomed the move.

PCMC keen to make Nashik Phata Chowk signal-free

Pimpri Chinchwad: The civic body will send a letter to the traffic police to make the busy Nashik Phata Chowk on Pune-Mumbai highway signal-free.

Vijay Bhojane, the spokesperson of the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) cell, said there was no need of signal because the fourth ramp of the flyover was opened for traffic on Monday. He said the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) would request Ashok Morale, the deputy commissioner of police (traffic), to convene a meeting to discuss the step.

PCMC takes steps to arrest sewage discharge into rivers

PIMPRI CHINCHWAD: Pollution levels of the Pavana, Mula and Indrayani rivers have come down, thanks to the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation's efforts that stopped over 25-30 MLD of sewage from getting discharged into them.
