PCMC promises to undo horrors of its dog pounds

In response to Animal Welfare Board’s recurring complaints, commissioner calls for new shelter and revised rescue rules

Following recurring complaints Pimpri- Chinchwad residents, the Animal Welfare Board of India has written to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) commissioner about the ill treatment of animals at the PCMC pound. Their address highlighted a specific case and trailed on other such negligent incidents, which prompted a meeting with officials concerned.
