Residents of societies and mega townships of Hinjawadi ,Maan Marunji met MP Supriya Sule yesterday,1st March late evening, 9pm to 11pm at Hinjawadi.Residents presented their charter of demands and voiced their concerns related to non availability of water supply, lack of roads, lack of amenities, garbage dumping and burning issue, security and other concerns. They supported the demand of merger into PCMC Corporation limits as the total population in these societies and townships will cross over 2 lakhs by the year 2020.
During the meeting itself Supriya Sule contacted UD Secretary Nitin Kareer MIDC CEO Sanjay Sethi, Irrigation department officials etc over phone and asked their intervention into the issues raised by residents. Follow up meetings were decided and direct communication on these matters with her office has been setup. Weekly citizens meeting every Sunday at Gram Panchayat offices will now be held as per her instructions.
Over 70 residents attended the meeting. Gram Panchayat , Zilla Parishad members were also present .
