PUNE: The board of directors of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) recently approved purchase of a total of 1,233 buses including 500 electric buses. The delivery of electric buses would take time, PMPML chairman and managing director Nayana Gunde said. About 376 buses are coming being brought to Pimpri Chinchwad from Pune. The proposed BRTS routes from Nigdi to Dapodi, Kalewadi phata to Dehu Alandi road would be started shortly. Bus operations have already started on Sangvi-Kiwale and Nashik phata to Wakad BRTS corridors. A PMPML divisional office has been set up at Meghaji Lokhande hall at Pimpri to address the grievancens of citizens, corporators and elected office-bearers, Gunde said.
