Pune to host 11th edition of book fair

Pune to host 11th edition of book fair:
Times of India: The city will host the 11th edition of a book and education exhibition called the Pune Book Fair from November 7 to 11.
It will include display stalls put up by renowned publishers, book sellers, educational institutions and service providers from across the country, a statement issued by the organisers said. Popular books on technology, health, management, education, business, law, religion, politics and literature will be displayed in various sections of the exhibition. Apart from books in English, those in other languages, such as Hindi, Marathi, Urdu and Sanskrit will also be available in the exhibition stands.
The exhibition will also focus on e books, said the convenor, P N R Rajan. “The advancements in technology have had a great impact on the publishing sector. E-learning and digital libraries are here to stay,” he said.
A lecture series will also be held as part of the event on all the days of the exhibition, aiming to educate the masses, especially the youth. Inculcating good reading habits amongst children will be the focus of the lecture series, which has been organised in co-operation with the Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad.
The exhibition has free entry, and will be open from 11 am to 9 am.
